Walking along the revetment between Sandown & Shanklin is a fairly level gentle stroll enjoyed by walkers, beachgoers & cyclists. But recent heavy rain has resulted in numerous landslides. Several beach huts were damaged in the process. The path was closed to the public on several occassions whilst the soil was removed and more retaining walls put in place.
